Crispy Tofu Fries

Instructions

Step 1:

I love using frozen tofu for this, but you can use extra-firm straight from the packaging if in a time crunch. Press the tofu for 10 minutes or to remove as much water as possible.

Step 2:

Preheat oven or air fryer to 400º

Step 3:

When tofu is ready cut into half lengthwise then form 1/2" wide strips or "fries." Place on a plate and pour the soy sauce over the top. Let set while putting together the coating.

Step 4:

In a medium shallow bowl combine the breadcrumbs, flour, seasoning salt, and nutritional yeast. Coat each "fry" in the mixture and place on a baking sheet. Drizzle the neutral oil over the top and bake 20 minutes, flipping halfway through. If using air fryer, cook for 15 minutes.

Step 5:

Remove from oven and let sit for 5 minute before serving. Enjoy!

1 cup panko breadcrumbs

1/4 cup flour

1 Tbsp seasoning salt

1 Tbsp nutritional yeast

2 Tbsp neutral oil
